Shipping
Most orders ship within two business days. We stock most of the items in our online store at our location in New York. Occasionally we will ship items directly from our distributors. If an item is backordered or delivery will be delayed, we typically indicate that on the product page or will reach out to you within one business day. If you'd like to check to see where an item will ship from or if it is in stock, please contact us.
Our standard shipping method for small items is USPS and our standard shipping method for electric outboards between 1.5hp and 5hp is UPS Ground. Please note that because lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods/hazmat by UPS, they sometimes arrive 1-3 days after the rest of a shipment. If you have not received your battery within 3 days of the rest of your order, please contact us.
Any offer of free shipping is only applicable to the continental US. We cannot ship lithium batteries by air. If you are a customer outside of the continental US, we may be able to ship to you via a freight forwarder of your choosing. Please contact us for more information.
Returns
Items that are unused, in original condition, and still in their packaging may be returned for a refund within 30 days. A 4% restocking fee will be applied to all returns. Returns of motors/batteries that shipped for free may be subject to additional return fees to cover our outbound shipping costs (typically $70-$120 for a 1.5-5hp electric outboard). Returns of used items or items not in their original packaging will be denied or refunded a partial amount. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. Shipping charges are nonrefundable.
Typically, items that were purchased outside of the 30 day window, have been used, or are not in their original packaging may not be returned. Motors that have been used in the water may not be returned. If you are unsure of shaft length or if the motor you are interested in is a good fit for your boat, please contact us before making your purchase.
Please note that lithium batteries and motors that contain lithium batteries are difficult to return if you are not able to drop these items off in person. Lithium batteries or lithium batteries contained in equipment are fully regulated Class 9 dangerous goods. Unless you a certified to ship dangerous goods, you are not able to ship these items via UPS or Fedex. You would need to use a freight carrier. Customers who would like to return these items via mail are responsible for all logistics and costs of these returns.
Order Cancellations
Orders that are cancelled by the customer after purchase but before shipment will be refunded and subject to a 4% processing fee. We charge this processing fee only to cover the cost of accepting the card payment; when we refund an order, we still pay the credit card processing fee. To avoid this, please contact us to make sure the product is the right fit for you and in stock, especially if it is time sensitive.
