The Remigo One Neo is Remigo's next iteration of their flagship electric outboard, the Remigo One. The motors are quite similar; they share many of the same features and use the same transom bracket, chargers, battery, tiller, and housing. The key difference is the motor itself, which has been upgrade from a gear 1kW electric motor to a direct drive 1.5kW electric motor, offering 4hp of power in "boost mode." Remigo has also designed a new propeller for the Neo, which has a smaller diameter and different pitch than the original prop, being optimized for a more powerful electric outboard. Read more about the difference between the two motors below!

What's the difference between the Remigo One & Remigo One Neo?

The Remigo One and the Remigo One Neo are very similar. Major differences include:

  • The Neo has a direct drive 1.5kW electric motor, whereas the original Remigo One has a 1kW geared electric motor.
  • Each motor has a unique propeller; the Neo's prop is smaller diameter and a different pitch, which is optimized for the more powerful motor.
  • Because of the direct drive motor and different propeller, the Neo provides higher speeds than the original Remigo One at lower power outputs. The Remigo One Neo is also quieter than the Remigo One.
  • The maximum power output of the Remigo One is 1kW, whereas the Remigo One Neo max power output is 1.5kW. You can increase the power from 1 to 1.5kW by holding the forward button for a few seconds when you are at 100% of normal power. Boost mode will turn on for one minute, then shut off. You can reengage boost mode again as long as your SOC is above 40%
  • The Remigo One Neo weighs about 2.5 pounds more than the original Remigo One

Other than the differences described above, the two motors are identical and use the same chargers, batteries, tiller and transom bracket. Both can be used with the wireless remote.

Key Features

Built In Battery

The Remigo One Neo Battery is built into its shaft. This eliminates the need for cables and exposed contacts to connect the battery to the motor, which is one of the most common points of failure for small electric outboards.

Lightest Electric Outboard in its Class

The Remigo Neo One weighs just 29 pounds; this is inclusive of the shaft, tiller and the built in battery. The transom bracket weighs about 5.5 pounds, although it is unlikely you'd need to handle both at the same time. The total weight of 34.5 pounds is about 8-10 pounds lighter than other 3hp electric outboards. The only lighter weight electric outboard of a similar power output is the original Remigo One, which weighs 2.5 pounds less.

Unique Transom Bracket

The transom bracket of the Remigo One Neo is designed to live on your transom or outboard bracket. Removing the Neo is as simple as pulling out a pin and lifting the motor straight up. There's no need to undo the bolts on the transom bracket each time you'd like to bring your Remigo One Neo home!

Durable Construction

The Remigo One Neo is constructed with all marine grade aluminum housing and is IP67 rated. Compared to other electric outboards on the market, the Remigo One Neo has less moving parts and fewer points of failure. It's also designed for saltwater, with one anode on the transom bracket and two anodes on the motor.

Multiple Charging Options

The Remigo One Neo comes with its standard AC charger, which takes about 6 hours to charge the motor. There are three other chargers sold separately. The fast AC charger also plugs in to a regular wall outlet, but brings the charge time down to 3 hours. The Remigo 12v DC charger charges the motor in 10-12 hours. Remigo also makes a solar charge controller!
