ePropulsion E60 FAQ

Why choose the ePropulsion E60 over a 3rd party option?

ePropulsion batteries are designed for maximum efficiency, performance and safety. Using 3rd-party batteries does not allow for the use of our communication cable which brings data accuracy to the gauge and ensures useful operating strategy for safety and performance.

Can I use a third party charger for the ePropulsion E60 battery?

No. Third-party chargers are not allowed for warranty reasons.

Can I connect different ePropulsion E-Series batteries in parallel?

No. For parallel connection, E60 and E163 can only be connected to the same model of the same age because they have different Battery Management Systems and different cell configurations.

What is the ePropulsion communication terminator used for?

It improves the signal quality. Without the communication terminator, E-Series batteries won't work in a parallel connection. Make sure you purchase this tool before a parallel connection.

How do I turn the ePropulsion E60 batteries on and off if they are connected in parallel?

Always power the master battery on/off first, not the secondary battery. If the secondary battery is powered on/off before the master battery damage or reduced usable capacity may occur.

Are all ePropulsion E-Series chargers compatible with any E-Series battery?

Yes. The chargers for the ePropulsion E60 and ePropulsion E163 are the same for both batteries.

How would I store the ePropulsion E60 Battery over the winter?

When the battery is not in use, make sure that the battery's connectors are covered well with waterproof caps. Protect against moisture, dust, water, shock and heat. Every 3 months of storage, the battery should be recharged to 60%.

Can the ePropulsion E60 be connected in series?

No. The E60 battery can only connect in parallel.
